Cabrillo Host Lions Club Of Aptos

• Each Wednesday night the Watsonville Associated Lions Clubs holds a bingo night at St. Francis Church on East Lake Blvd. in Watsonville.
• Cabrillo holds a pancake breakfast the morning of the Fourth of July at the World's Shortest Parade in Aptos Village. (Volunteers needed)
• In September the club has a booth at the county fair. Relatives and friends are welcome to work at these events.  
• The Club has been working to help Fire Victims in the area.

Note: Workers for bingo and the fair must be 21.

With the funds raised the club has donated to high school scholarships, Aptos Sports Foundation, Hospice, CASA (advisors for children in foster care) the Visiting Nurses Association, projects for at risk high school students, eye and hearing testing, equipment  for schools, Salvation Army, skills center, Jacob's Heart (critically ill children) and countless others.

Members helped with repairs at local mobile home parks, and replaced a door at the Senior Center. Eye exams and glasses have been provided for local residents. The club collects used eyeglasses at various points in the area. Surgeries are provided by the Lions Eye Bank in San Francisco. The club would also like to sponsor a Leos Club in our area.
